Todays red hot fishing charters portland bluefin tuna report, over the last few days the tuna have been feeding in bursts and timeing has been the key watching the birds like a hawk has payed off for us on our charters thats forsure,today we started trolling in 20meters of water just east of cape nelson light house and it only took 2 minutes until the first reel started screaming off the 15kg bluefin was landed and lures were re set after so many boats had turned up i decided to think outside the square as i like to do and go walk about after 2 hours trolling to get to another area that i seem to do very good at it didnt let me down we had heaps of turns diving and tuna smashing the surface and with the first pass through the busting tuna it was a 3 way hook up once fish were landed i went to work the patch that i had found i had a so called charter operater that had followed me for 2 hours drive straight into the tuna school instead of driving around the school and leting the lures pass through and hooking up he pushed the tuna down,so i went searching again and found another patch the we worked and caught heaps of bluefin tuna in the 15kg to 18kg range the lures of choice were the black magic jet seters and richter dorardos in lumo green gold and blue white.there are heaps of bluefin tuna around portland so if you want to book a red hot tuna fishing charter give simon a call 0409188751 mor http://www.redhotfishingcharters.com.au/

TODAYS RED HOT FISHING CHARTERS PORTLAND BLUEFIN TUNA REPORT 1.6.11,well what a awesome first day of winter with perfect blue skys and a warm sun it was a cracking start to the day,and the bluefin tuna were in a frenzy from the time the second lure hit the water we were on with 2 bluefin and for the next 4 hours we didnt go any longer than 20 min without having the punters hooked up solid to tuna we  caught our bag limit with ease  and were releasing them for the next 3 hours.we started trolling in 60mtrs off cape bridgewater and caught plenty in this area once the boats had crowded this area we went our own way and found plenty of action between cape bridgewater and cape nelson in 73mtrs of water and as i was trolling east towards the light house we were geting more action than we did off cape bridgewater and there wasnt a boat to be seen so it pays to think outside the square as these smaller size bluefin are a lot more timerd in these shallow waters, todays lure of choice was a black magic twiggy jetsetter and pakula yuzy in icey blue colour. if you want to book a red hot tuna fishing charter call simon 0409188751 the tuna fishing is at its best right now and will stay this way for the next 8 weeks cheers simo. http://www.redhotfishingcharters.com.au/

another stunning start to a day on the water chasing portlands bluefin tuna and what a RED HOT time was had we started trolling in 60mtr of cape bridgewater and we didnt even get the 3rd lure in the water and we were on to a bluefin tuna already,once fish was boated we got all lures in and then it was mayhem with rods screaming off in all directions and for 3 hours this is how the action stayed,with very thick fog for a hour or so it was hard to see any birds working but that didnt matter as the tuna were in a frenzy today all small lures in all kinds of colours worked today. WECOME TO THE DAILY  RED HOT FISHING CHARTERS PORTLAND BLUFIN TUNA REPORT,today at portland the weather is perfect a large swell is running but less than 10 knots of wind,so this has the carparks at the boat ramp full with over 300 boats launched today i decided to start our day tuna fishing a bit west to get away from the crowds that were all fishing the areas we had been all week,with calm conditions it didnt take me long to spot a free jumping tuna and straight towards the tuna i went a 2 way hook up to start and the morning kept geting better with heaps of action and 4 way hook ups there was plenty of action to keep todays crew happy our bag limit of 12 today was reached with ease. i also got to see some 6 foot tuna bust up in front of the boat they were smashing into sauries a sight i love watching,tomorrows another day and i carnt wait to get out there again and see if i can find some of portlands larger tuna know as barrels.cheers simon. for bookings phone simon 0409188751 or http://www.redhotfishingcharters.com.au/

WELCOME TO THE RED HOT FISHING CHARTERS DAILY PORTLAND BLUEFIN TUNA REPORT,today the wild wind backed off so we could get out into the bluefin tuna,after a fun trip out through the swells we reached the 40 meter mark and put the lures in after looking hard for any tern action i could see some diving in and straight towards them we went we got 50 meters off the working birds and i could see some tuna feeding and then the first screamer of the day was on a nice 12kg bluefin tuna a first for the young lad,once lure patten had been reset it was 5 min later and we were on again and thats how the morning stayed every 5 minutes or so we were geting hooked up once the bag limit of 10 was reached we released fish for the next hour and then called it a day,watch for tomorrows red hot fishing charters daily portland bluefin tuna report.
